A Rough Guide to Fabric Quantities
Measure the length of area to be covered (not just window length) and add 30cm (12") for hems. If unlined, add a further 10cm (4") for each channel about 35cm (14") apart.
Measure the width of area to be covered and add 5cm if the blind is to be outside the recess. If the fabric is not wide enough, double the quantity for a join. Or, consider adding an all round border to 'extend' the fabric. For a neat result, you might need twice the quantity of fabric for the border as for the 'central' area.
